Response
The Scottish Police Authority has considered your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act (FOISA).
Scottish Police Authority employees include SPA Corporate, Forensic Services and staff under the direction of the Chief Constable of Police Scotland. Please note, for the purposes of this response, information is provided for SPA Corporate and Forensic Services only.
Current reporting functionality only supports a search for current suspended employees. This provided a nil return, confirming that no SPA Corporate or Forensic Services employees are currently suspended from work.
The Authority does not hold information on historical suspensions since 2020 which have now ended, either through return to work or dismissal.
Historical information may be available by contacting Police Scotland at foi@scotland.police.uk
By way of explanation, this is because Police Scotland provides certain services to the Authority, in line with legislation. For example, the provision of HR, people and development and payroll services. Where services like this are provided to the Authority, information may be held by Police Scotland rather than the Authority.
The Authority does not hold information in terms of parts two and three of your request as per our response to part one.
