Current Outstanding Warrants
Across Scotland there are currently 10,906 outstanding warrants waiting to be executed by Police Scotland. Of those warrants, 5,869 (54%) relate to non-appearance warrants and account for a significant proportion of outstanding warrants.
The figure of 10,906 is the number of live warrants in total regardless of the year they were received by Police Scotland. This figure therefore relates to live warrants received by Police Scotland across all years.
It is important to note that this relates to the number of warrants, not the number of people wanted on warrant. There will be many instances where an individual has more than one outstanding warrant issued for them. Currently, there are 7587 individuals with 1 or more warrants.
