COMMUNITY IMPACT
Our policing approach shapes how safe and supported young people and the wider community feel. Responding to violence in a fair and proportionate way helps maintain trust whilst punitive or blanket measures risk alienating young people and damaging community relationships. Balancing appropriate enforcement with engagement, support and prevention is critical to maintaining resilient communities and trusted relationships between policing and young people.
