Progress to date
The delivery plan has been reported, over the period to date, through the COSLA/ SOLACE/ Police Scotland/ SPA engagement group, co-chaired by the chair of SOLACE and DCC Local Policing. This operational oversight shaped the direction of the delivery plan and allowed connection to be made to wider areas of work sitting with partners such as the Improvement Service. Since last reported in March 2024, a number of key delivery areas have progressed or been completed.
In the priority area of local scrutiny and accountability work concluded on the tripartite review of local police plans, and the community confidence action research project has been fully delivered and evaluated.
In prevention and early intervention progress has been made through pathfinder work in relation to Bairns Hoose, the Scottish Child Interview Model has been rolled out, and national trauma training has been embedded.
Under the health and wellbeing priority we have established a multi-agency partnership on mental health distress and crisis, progressed a range of activities in relation to suicide prevention, and progressed work on reducing drug harm.
Work to deliver the resources and investment priority has focused on the Scottish Prevention Hub and Edinburgh Futures Institute and improved engagement with the national community planning improvement board.
