Conclusion
It is clear from the participation in the national conversation that there are a diverse range of views on this matter. Police Scotland are keen to have further internal discussions regarding the operational benefits, risks, issues and mitigations prior to any decision making.
Police Scotland will now progress this matter, continue to gather evidence and views before developing any future options that can be consulted on and progressed through to implementation as required.
The Authority is asked to discuss this paper.
