Cost – Operation Seltern
Police Scotland has provided an initial budget of £90,000 for Operation Seltern.
This budget will be used for training, the purchase of drug-wipes and the costs associated with outsourced laboratory testing.
In terms of the breakdown of the anticipated spend, it has been projected in the following way:
- Total training cost – £1800
- Drug-wipes purchasing – 500 @ £17 each – 5 months – £8500
- Outsourced laboratory testing 250 @ £300 – 5 months £75,000
- Total Estimated Cost – £85,300 (within budget)
