Conclusion
There has been a significant reduction in the number, by 63%, of outstanding recommendations and areas for improvement compared to this time last year. This has been achieved by enhanced focus, governance and leadership.
This focus will remain over the coming months and will be enhanced even further with the introduction of the divisional audit and assurance framework and changes to divisional structure and portfolio responsibilities.
Police Scotland continues to deliver a safe, secure and respectful custody experience. The organisation is committed to continuous improvement within what is a very high risk area of Policing.
