Joint Strategy for Policing 2023
Outcome 1: Threats to public safety and wellbeing are resolved by a proactive and responsive Police Service.
To achieve this outcome Police Scotland will
- Keep people safe in the physical and digital world
- Design services jointly to tackle complex public safety and wellbeing challenges
- Support Policing through proactive prevention
Outcome 5: Policing is sustainable, adaptable and prepared for future challenges.
To achieve this Police Scotland will
- Use innovative approaches to accelerate its capacity and capability for effective service delivery
- Commit to making a positive impact through outstanding environmental sustainability
- Support operational policing through appropriate digital tools and delivery of best value.
The breakneck speed of technological advancement and its accessibility for criminal use is making it almost impossible for law enforcement agencies to keep pace.Alongside our policing and academic partners, we must adapt to this new world, proactively seeking out innovative ways of working to make it easier to keep ahead of the crime curve for both prevention and resolution.
