Response
The Scottish Police Authority has considered your request under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations.
The Authority does not have an organisational policy to support staff with the installation of Electric Vehicle Infrastructure at their home.
The Authority’s Allowances and Expenses (Staff) Procedure provides detail of the mileage allowance and fuel rates paid to staff for work-related travel, which is aligned to HMRC rates. This procedure is silent on the type of car, and the same amount is paid per mile regardless of whether it is petrol, diesel, hybrid or electric.
