Your request for information dated 22 November 2025 is copied below.
1) How many detainees who are legally prescribed methadone are transported from Elgin and Fraserburgh custody suites to Kittybrewster, to allow their OST treatment to continue without any interruption in their treatment.
2) How many Police man hours has this taken transporting detainees to Kittybrewster custody suite then returning them to Elgin or Fraserburgh.
3) What is the cost of these journeys in both man hours and financial cost.
4) How many detainees in Grampian by custody suite receive Methadone, and how many detainees receive the unlicensed drug Dihydrocodeine.
5) Do custody staff check that detainees have given informed consent to the substitute drug.
6) How many detainees given Dihydrocodeine suffer seizures or other serious side effects, and are female detainees checked for pregnancy before Dihydrocodeine is dispensed by custody staff.
7) Are any other medications reduced ie antidepressants, anti anxiety, sleeping medications or antipsychotics reduced or stopped for the period in custody .
8) Are Police Scotland dogmatic about detainees healthcare and being compliant with human rights, ECHR legislation.
9) Do Police Scotland have any concerns with NHS Grampian.
