Response
The Scottish Police Authority has considered your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act (FOISA).
Your request referred to correspondence issued by the Authority to you on 18 September 2025. This related to assurances provided to the Authority’s Complaints and Conduct Committee by Police Scotland on 5 June 2025, specifically in relation to learning points referenced in the PIRC Annual Report.
In terms of your request for correspondence between the Authority and Police Scotland in relation to this, the Authority does not hold information.
By means of explanation, engagement with Police Scotland referred to in the above noted correspondence was verbal via a phonecall, between Authority officials and relevant representatives of Police Scotland. This sought to confirm accuracy of the statement made at the Committee with the response recorded in the correspondence issued to you.
