The Scottish Police Authority has considered your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act (FOISA).
By means of explanation, Lynn Brown retired as the Authority’s Chief Executive on 30 September 2025. Chris Brown assumed the role of Chief Executive and Accountable Officer on 1 October 2025.
Notwithstanding Ms Brown’s retirement, we are unable to provide the information requested as direct email addresses are considered to be third-party personal information which is exempt from disclosure under FOISA. This exemption is absolute and does not require application of the public interest test. While you may have a legitimate interest in disclosure of this information, it is our view that those interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subjects.
