The Scottish Police Authority has considered your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act (FOISA).
For part one and two of your request, a list and associated appointment terms of those who have held the position of Chair, or Interim Chair, is provided below:
- Vic Emery: April 2013 - September 2015
- Andrew Flanagan: September 2015 - December 2017
- Susan Deacon: December 2017 – December 2019
- David Crichton (Interim Chair): December 2019 - January 2021
- Martyn Evans: February 2021 – January 2025
- Fiona McQueen (Interim Chair): February 2025 – April 2025
- Fiona McQueen: April 2025 – present

Martyn Evans BA (hons) MA (econ) FRSA has accepted an invitation in April 2019 to become the Executive Chair of the Alex Ferry Foundation, a new grant making philanthropic charity which aims to improve the lives of people who work or have worked in the UK shipbuilding, engineering and related manufacturing industries, as well as their families and dependents.
Martyn was previously Chief Executive of the Carnegie UK Trust for 10 years having been appointed in November 2009. The Trust is an independent endowed Foundation.
He was Director of the Scottish Consumer Council (SCC) from 1998 to 2009. Martyn was a visiting Professor of Law at the University of Strathclyde from 1995-2001.
Prior to taking up his post with SCC he was Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Advice Scotland for five years and Director of Shelter (Scottish Campaign for Homeless People) from 1987 to 1992.
