Issued 30 May 2025, this FOI response advises that information on cyber related crimes and sextortion crimes reported, by age group, in Dumfries and Galloway is not held by the Scottish Police Authority. Advice is provided that Police Scotland may hold information.

Can I be provided with the following information please
- Cyber related crimes reported in Dumfries and Galloway by over 25s.
- Cyber related crimes reported in Dumfries and Galloway by under 25’s (including children).
Can I also be provided with the following information
- Crimes and reports on sextortion of over 18s in Dumfries and Galloway.
- Crimes and reports of sextortion of under 18s in Dumfries and Galloway.
It would be beneficial if A and B were broken down in to age bands eg 20-30 year olds or 5-7 year olds.
With regards to B. Can I also have a breakdown of how many reports and cases were of child to known child; how many were of child to known adult; how many were of child to unknown party.
