Who We Are

The Scottish Police Authority is independent of both the Scottish Government and policing. It is the primary governance body for policing in Scotland, and was established as a public body on 1 April 2013 by the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012. It was set up to hold the Chief Constable to account; promote, support and oversee improvement in policing. It is also responsible for the management and delivery of Forensic Services in Scotland and Independent Custody Visiting Scotland.

Issued 24 July 2023, this FOI response confirms that information on the number of road traffic accidents on the B994 is not held by the Scottish Police Authority. Advice is provided that Police Scotland may hold information.

I want to know the number of road traffic accidents on the B994 , Upper Cottown section, viz the section from its junction with the unclassified Whitestones Rd. ( Knackery access road) to its junction with the unclassified back road to Kintore.

The period that I am interested in is from the start of Aberdeenshire Council to present date.
