Issued 2 February 2023, this FOI response advises that the Authority is not responsible for enacting the emergency powers referred to under the Children Act 1989. Advice is provided that Police Scotland may hold information.

The Authority does not hold the information you have requested. Therefore, this represents a notice in terms of Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

The Authority provides governance and oversight of policing in Scotland, it is not an operational policing body. Police Scotland are responsible for enacting any relevant emergency powers identified in legislation.
