Hate Crime Toolkit
COSLA has worked with Scottish Government to develop an Understanding Hate Crime Toolkit for local authorities. The Toolkit provides local authorities with information on hate crime and its impact, hate crime legislation, hate crime and the public sector equality duty, hate crime reporting, as well as an annex of local authority best practice examples. The toolkit was informed through engagement with a range of stakeholders including Scottish Councils Equality Network and Education Scotland and is due to be published in late 2025.
