Non-Financial Work of Legal Department
Historically, the Committee wished to have information on cases that would or could have an impact on finances due to the SPA’s statutory functions in indemnifying the Chief Constable in litigations involving Police Scotland. However, more recently the Committee wished to be advised on other work that Police Scotland’s legal department are involved with.
Appendix 2 sets out the work of the Legal Department over the previous financial Quarter. More information can be provided within the closed part of the meeting should Members have a particular interest in any matters arising from the data.
