Scottish Grand National
On Saturday 22 April, just before the Scottish Grand National event at Ayr Racecourse, a large group of protesters climbed under and over fences and made their way towards the racetrack.
A prompt and professional response by stewards and Police Scotland officers prevented the group from causing significant disruption, and the race was able to commence as arranged and without further issue. A further attempt by protestors at a later race was also disrupted.
