BI-ANNUAL YOUR VOICE MATTERS (YVM) REPORT
Members considered the paper that had been submitted to provide an overview of the ongoing activity which directly responds to our YVM 2024-25 results and a look forward to our YVM 2025-26 survey. In addition to the submitted report the following was discussed.
• The Committee considered a summary of the report and Members recognised the good progress made in this regard.
• Discussion focused on how Police Scotland ensure feedback and improvements are recognised and experienced both locally and nationally. It was explained that this was an area of focus for the team and activity is planned to improve the way responses to the YVM Survey are communicated to the workforce both nationally but also and more locally.
• It was agreed the next committee update report on this would provide some examples of locally tailored improvement activity as it is very important for this committee to be assured in respect of the organisational culture.
Members noted the report and agreed the following action.
PC-20250828- 004: Committee to consider how Police Scotland is ensuring the overall response to the YVM survey is nuanced at an appropriate local level so that improvements are seen by officers & staff.
