SPA CHIEF EXECUTIVE’S REPORT
Members considered the report which detailed activities involving SPA corporate staff since the previous Authority Meeting. In relation to the Annual Report and Accounts, Lynn Brown (LBrown) confirmed that assurances around pension schemes from third parties had been received and had been resolved to the satisfaction of the auditor.
Comment was sought on the Best Value Review. LBrown advised that a joint qualitative review by HMICS and Audit Scotland was being prepared, but from the initial findings she expected the Authority would be assured by the comments, findings and areas for improvement.
