ENVIRONMENTAL
The Air Support Unit blended operating model enables tasking to be assessed utilising THRIVE principles (Threat, Harm, Risk, Investigation, Vulnerability, Engagement) while also considering other factors such as urgency of request, type of incident, location, and prevailing weather conditions. This structured assessment ensures the most appropriate aerial asset is deployed to each incident.
The integration of RPAS into operations has significantly reduced demand on the helicopter, contributing to lower carbon footprint associated with rotary operations.
