Memorandum of Understanding - Provision of Forensic Services in Scotland

Report Summary

This is a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Scottish Police Authority (“the Authority”) and the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Scotland (Police Scotland) and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS). Collectively Police Scotland and COPFS are the “Service Users”. In order to ensure the effective delivery of forensic services within the Scottish criminal justice system, this MoU outlines the arrangements amongst the Parties in respect of the provision of forensic services by the Authority to the Service Users.
