The Committee scrutinises four areas:

• strategic financial performance and planning;
• budget setting in the short, medium and long term;
• investments;
• and benefits.

It also provides assurance to the Board on financial regulatory compliance and stewardship.

Public sessions of the Committee are open to the press and public to observe.

• Agendas are published seven working days ahead of the meeting.
• Papers are published three working days ahead of the meeting.
