Marysia Waters was appointed Head of Forensic Business Management and Communications in May 2026, following a career in corporate communications within the Scottish public sector for more than 20 years.

Having initially started her career as a local journalist, Marysia moved into public sector communications, working initially within the NHS, and most recently as the Head of Communications and Engagement at the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Marysia specialises in crisis communications, staff and public engagement, as well as stakeholder involvement and consultation.
