SPA Board Diversity and Gender Representation Report 2026

Category: Reports
Keywords : public body duty

Report Summary

The Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2016 requires the SPA to publish the number of men and women who have been members during the period covered in the report and the way in which the information has been used.

Within the Gender Representation on Public Boards (Scotland) Act 2018, the “gender representation objective” for a public body is that it has 50% of non-executive members who are women. As a public body the SPA must publish reports on the carrying out of its functions in taking steps to achieve the overall objective and encouraging applications from women.
