Strategic alignment to strategic police plan and other key enabling strategies
Strategic alignment - The Act implements some of the recommendations contained in the Independent Review of Complaints Handling, Investigations and Misconduct Issues in Relation to Policing by Elish Angiolini, published in November 2020 It is compliant of ECHR principles and Police Scotland’s values of Integrity, Fairness, Respect and Standards of Professional Behaviour.
Alignment to risk register and risk appetite
Risk Alignment - The Project Risk Register monitors all aspects of the Act and is led by Chief Superintendent Helen Harrison.
Prior governance
Prior governance - Full parliamentary process followed by Police Scotland’s internal review and approval by force executive governance.
Stakeholder engagement
