As part of a review of ALL UK forces and their current general purpose body armour contracts, can you advise the following under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
I would like to request the following information regarding Police Scotland’s body armour procurement and contract arrangements:
- Current Contract Status
- Please confirm the current status of Police Scotland’s body armour contract(s), including whether the contract is active, expired, extended, or under review.
- Contract Details
- The name(s) of the supplier(s) currently contracted to provide body armour.
- The contract start date, duration, and any extension options (if applicable).
- Procurement Activity
- Any recent or ongoing procurement exercises relating to body armour (e.g. tenders issued, planned renewals, or evaluations).
- Expected timelines for any upcoming procurement decisions.
- Contract Value
- The estimated or total value of the current contract (if available).
- Changes or Reviews
- Details of any recent reviews, performance assessments, or changes made to the body armour contract in the past 24 months.
